Q: How close are your Naples homes to Vanderbilt Beach?
A: All our Naples houses are less than one mile (about five blocks) to Vanderbilt Beach , an easy 8-10 minute walk. Just two miles up the road (or beach!) is award-winning Delnor-Wiggins State Park Beach . Please see the local map on each house page.
Q: How close is Casa Bonita to Bonita Beach?
A: Our new pool home, Casa Bonita, is located one mile from Bonita Beach . There even is a Beach Trollee which runs along Bonita Beach Road (just two blocks away). Not only can you get to the beach fast—this leg is free! There is also plenty of storage space on board for any beach chairs and umbrellas you may be taking with you. The Trollees run from early morning until around 9:30 p.m. For more specific times and routes, contact Lee Tran Trollee at 239.533.8726.
Q: How far is it to restaurants and shops from the Naples houses?
A: Our Naples homes are located within easy walking distance to the local shopping center (Pavilion shops include supermarket, post-office, banks, seven restaurants, movie theater, bookstore, boutique shops, hairdresser and barber, bike rentals, etc.). Across the street from Pavilion Shops is our local library and public park and tennis courts.
Q: How far is it to restaurants and shops from Casa Bonita?
A: There are restaurants and shops located just two blocks away, along Bonita Beach Road. You can even take the Beach Trollee, which runs up and down this road. It can take you from the Tamiami Trail to the beach for free. The Trollees also run from Fort Myers and Lover Key early morning until around 9:30 p.m. All routes (except the free beach trollee) are just a quarter per rider. Q: Will someone be available to answer questions?
A: Yes. We live right here in Naples and are happy to answer any questions you might have.
Q: What is provided in the homes?
A: Our homes are completely furnished and fully equipped. There are two sets of sheets for each bedroom and about 16 towels for the bathrooms. There are 6-8 beach/pool towels in each house. All kitchen utensils and equipment are provided including plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots and pans, bake-ware, and even kitchen spices! There is a hair-dryer, iron and ironing-board and washer and dryer in each home. Lanai furnishings include chairs, table and loungers.
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: We provide everything in the way of linen, towels (with abundant spares), cutlery, cups, glasses, and kitchen utensils etc., so you only need to bring your personal items with you. We also provide hair-dryers, electric iron, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, tumble dryer, full kitchen facilities and so on.
Q: Do we need to bring linens?
A: All your linens are provided for you, including two sets of sheets for each bed, bath towels and beach towels, etc..
Q: Do you supply baby/toddler equipment?
A: Yes, we are happy to have you use our portable cribs (Pack-and-Plays), high-chairs, baby room monitors, strollers, baby beach-bed, back-pack etc.. These are all in excellent, clean condition. Please advise us of your needs prior to arrival.
Q: How many people do the homes sleep?
A: We accept a total of eight people in each of our homes.
Q: Is maid service included?
A: The houses are all self-catering. Each home will be freshly cleaned for your arrival, and will be cleaned again upon your departure (this is why we have a check-out time no later than 10:00 A.M. and check-in at or after 3:00 P.M.). For those wishing to stay for longer periods of time, please contact us and we will happily recommend house-cleaners. Each house has a washer and dryer, dishwasher, vacuum, broom and mop etc. for your use.
Q: What are the drive-times from the nearest airports to your houses?
A: The closest airport is Regional Southwest International Airport (RSW) in Ft. Myers. The drive-time from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers to our homes in Naples and Bonita Springs is about 30 minutes. Ft Lauderdale Airport (FLL) is a direct drive across I-75 in about two hours door to door, and Miami International (MIA) is a 2.5 hour drive. All three airports have shuttle service (vans) to Naples. Shuttle service for our Bonita Springs guests from Southwest International Airport is available from Superior Airport Shuttle in Fort Myers.
Q: How do I get into the property when we arrive?
A: There is a lock-box located on each home. When your final payment is received, we will send you an access code for the box.
Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
A: The check-in time is 3:00 P.M. or later on the day of arrival. The check-out time is 10:00 A.M. or earlier on the departure day. This allows the cleaners time to inspect and clean the houses between guests.
Q: What is the policy on smoking in the houses?
A: We have a no-smoking policy for all of our houses. We are very careful about this. We assure our guests that they will have a clean and hygienic vacation home upon arrival. Accordingly any evidence of guests smoking in the houses will result in a charge to the security deposit. However, with the wonderful weather you will generally enjoy, this restriction should cause no problem to smokers—simply enjoy the ability to smoke outdoors.
Q: What about garbage and rubbish disposal?
A: The garbage can is stored in the front of the garage. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the can is emptied by the roadside at the end of your driveway. The recycle bin is collected on Fridays. Please place the container at the roadside the night before collection (with the handle facing toward the house) and remember to return it the same day to its correct place.
Q: Do your homes have cable television?
A: Yes, we supply Comcast Limited Basic cable television, which offers 36 channels. If you would like extended channels, we can arrange that for our longer-term guests. We have two TVs for your use in each home, as well DVD and VCRs.
Q: Can we rent movies on video and DVD?
A: Yes, there are many local outlets for renting films and video-games.
Q: Do the homes all have their own telephones?
A: All the homes have two or more telephones and local calls are free. To make long distance calls we advise that you purchase a phone-card.
Q: Can I make long-distance or international telephone calls from the house?
A: The telephone in the house will allow you to direct-dial local calls, but it is not set up for direct-dialed long-distance and international calls. Inexpensive calling-cards may be purchased at local convenience or grocery stores and used at any phone in Florida, including the house phone.
Q: Can I access the internet from the house?
A: Just bring your laptop! We have wireless DSL throughout the house and lanai and a computer desk as well.
Q: Does your Casa Bonita house have a private screened-in swimming pool?
A: Yes it most certainly does. You and your children can swim at your leisure any time between 8 AM and 9 PM. Our Casa Bonita pool and pool-deck are enclosed in a screened lanai. The screen also allows a pleasant breeze onto the pool deck area, but with its lockable doors children cannot "escape" onto or from your pool deck. This gives our guests the added peace of mind that—unlike a hotel pool—their children cannot wander off.
Q: What about the Casa Bonita pool temperature?
A: Our Casa Bonita home, with its private enclosed pool, offers optional pool heating. Pool heat is not included in the rental rate. We cannot guarantee pool temperature as this is dependent upon the ambient air temperature.
Q: Why is there a childproof barrier up around the pool?
A: We are very safety conscious. We have this barrier up to protect any person who does not know how to swim, so no accidental pool entry will occur. This pool barrier is very easy for an adult to open or even remove if there are no children or non-swimmers staying in the house.
Q: How close is the nearest hospital?
A: Less than a mile from the Naples houses is a complete medical park and hospital. It is five miles to the hospital from Casa Bonita.
